Attitude and Activity
I am way past my due date for this post but I have been wondering what to really write about. I have been thinking hard what has changed what I have learned. As i look back on the last 2 weeks I have also seen my business grow 400%. Yes really 400%! I went from not sure how long I am going to have to keep spinning my wheels to gain so much traction in such a short time. But really how short was it? The same time I started my business is about the same time I started the MKMMA. With in a few weeks of each other. I found a mentor and the person I needed for my mastermind. 3 weeks ago I was able to add another to my mastermind group. I always thought of a mastermind group as people sitting around a large table, brainstorming about different things. Well, I was wrong in that sense. The 2 people in my mastermind don’t even know they are in my mastermind group. it has been like magic, weird and wonderful all at the same time. It has also been a bit scary! I don’t think about the other shoe dropping anymore, simply because I know that I have created this reality for myself. So, what have I learned from this week (and a half?). Activity and attitude is like yin and yang. One without the other is complete failure. They can only be successful if they are like minded and work in sync. The definitions of attitude and activity the I have for this are…
Attitude- PMA or attitude controlled by fear, anger, jealousy, greed.
Activity – MKMMA exercises, the reads, the sit, super hero pose/calling prospects, doing meetings, spending the time, following up.
The Yin and the Yang of it–
Without a good attitude the activity you do amounts to very little.
If I bring rain and gloom and darkness and pessimism to my customers then they will react with rain and gloom and darkness and pessimism and they will purchase naught.
But on the other side if you have a good attitude and have no activity then you have nothing as well. You must balance it. Good Attitude and activity. Ok, so what do I mean by activity?
A good attitude will last only so long if we stop doing the activity like we mentally do with the MKMMA. I looked at the last 5 months in my business and how the weeks went.
You can tell by the number when I had good positive attitude and activity with MKMMA and my business. It was 5 weeks on 1 week off. Week one I put forth 100% effort. Week 2 I started seeing real success. Week 3 less activity and by week 5 little activity and little to show. I started to fail so I started again. This last time I caught myself red handed. With the help of my mastermind and keeping on with the activity, I created a PMA and kept the activity going (MKMMA and business activity) and you can see the difference that it has made. Week 24 shows it. I was 241th out of 3000 this last week. I will not contribute it to skill. I have been in sales for over 20 years, so the skill has always been there. The difference was just like the title of this post reads. I feel like I could write a book about this week alone.
