Week 1 – The competing blueprints
Well the first week is almost over and I can feel my old habits and thoughts trying to take over again. So this week the assignments were reading, reading and more reading. The same chapters over and over. Reading my Definite Major Purpose and the Blueprint Builder. Everything that I read was short and only took minutes to complete. So why did I struggle to get it done for the last week??
Habits! That was simply the answer. I had a habit of reading things once and move on to something else.
Now, I understand why the repetition. It’s a two fold reason. Both reasons are creating a new blueprint to follow and erase to old one.
First is to create the good habits of positive action. To create a pattern that will remove the old habits (blueprint) and replace them with good habits. This is thought in scroll one “The Greatest Salesman in the World”-
In truth, the only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeeded lies in the differences of their habits. Good habits are the key to all success. Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure. Thus, the first law I will obey, which precedeth all others is – I will form good habits and become their slave.
Second is to inject the words into the sub conscience. This is, for me, the biggest benefit. When the conscience and sub conscience is in complete positive harmony the only possibility is a positive outcome. It’s nature’s law.
It is the coordination of these two centers of our being, and the
understanding of their functions, which is the great secret of life. With
this knowledge we can bring the objective and subjective minds into
conscious cooperation and thus coordinate the finite and the infinite.
Our future is entirely within our own control. It is not at the mercy of
any capricious or uncertain external power.
I am starting to understand more day by day, with every reading that I have full control, complete control of everything in my world (my life).
The assignment in week 1 of the MKS (Master Key System) is to keep still for 15 mins or more. Now this has been easier for me due to my meditation practice in the martial arts. The biggest problems that I am working on is control of thoughts. I see this in any daily activity I do. What is exciting for me is learning how to control the thoughts and being in harmony with the world within and without.
